When I buy resources from the Control Panel do I buy a resource pool that I can distribute among my organizations and customers or do I buy resources for each organization specifically.

You purchase vCloud resources from the Control Panel for each organization separately and allocate the resources for the specific organization.

The vCloud Director will notify you in case you have exceeded any of your resources. Then you can purchase additional resources from the Control Panel.

No, snapshots are not supported on the vCloud platform. If you want to save a copy of your machine before i.e. a patch upgrade the recommended procedure is to stop the machine, right-click the machine and make a copy and then use the copy if something goes wrong.

If a Cloudmore vCloud instance is stopped within a vCloud, can I launch another instance with the same IP-address in the same vCloud?

Yes, standard networking rules apply within your vCloud networks. You can also ring-fence some vApps from each other which can enable you to run two virtual machines with the same IP-address.

If we misplace the admin password, can Cloudmore help us to retrieve or reset the password?

If you go to properties for the virtual machine and click the "Guest Customization"-tab you can see your configured password. If the password is changed inside the virtual machine you can enforce guest customizations to reset the password. Note that this runs a sysprep on your machine which could cause problems with other services on your server.

Cloudmore continuously monitor the performance if the VMware platform Performance monitoring is done inside the guest operating system. What is a SAN?

Can we use our internal hosted backup with the vCloud server?

If you want to be able to restore data on a file level you should have your own backup of the server. You can backup the server with your internal hosted backup but it is not recommended. The reason for that is that standard backup software is not built to handle backup over an Internet connection. You therefore might run into problems with backup time and restore times. The recommended solution is to use online backup software like LiveVault.

With vCloud you get a best value virtual server which enables you to provide servers in a very cost effective way, however there are some limitations when you want to connect multiple servers to create a more advanced network and server infrastructure. How long time are we committing us for?

There are no minimum contract period, no minimum purchase value, there is no catch. You are free to sell every service in our portfolio or you can remain idle for as long as you like or until a business case pops up.

Can we run our own services in competition with Cloudmore?

Yes. We compete with quality of service, strong brand name and aggressive pricing. If you want to sell our Hosted Exchange but still want to produce your own PC backup you are of course free to do so. Is it possible to transfer an exchange account from one user to another?

Yes, it is possible. A common scenario is when a user, that f ex has 1 year subscription, leaves the company and you would like to use remaining time of the subscription for another user. What you have to do is remove the account that will no longer be in use. Thus you have one vacant seat from your subscription.
