No, snapshots are not supported on the vCloud platform. If you want to save a copy of your machine before i.e. a patch upgrade the recommended procedure is to stop the machine, right-click the machine and make a copy and then use the copy if something goes wrong.

If a Cloudmore vCloud instance is stopped within a vCloud, can I launch another instance with the same IP-address in the same vCloud?

Yes, standard networking rules apply within your vCloud networks. You can also ring-fence some vApps from each other which can enable you to run two virtual machines with the same IP-address.

If we misplace the admin password, can Cloudmore help us to retrieve or reset the password?

If you go to properties for the virtual machine and click the "Guest Customization"-tab you can see your configured password. If the password is changed inside the virtual machine you can enforce guest customizations to reset the password. Note that this runs a sysprep on your machine which could cause problems with other services on your server.

Cloudmore continuously monitor the performance if the VMware platform Performance monitoring is done inside the guest operating system. If you want to be able to restore data on a file level you should have your own backup of the server. You can backup the server with your internal hosted backup but it is not recommended. The reason for that is that standard backup software is not built to handle backup over an Internet connection. You therefore might run into problems with backup time and restore times. The recommended solution is to use online backup software like LiveVault.

This makes it possible for you to move parts (or all) of your current environment into the cloud and create Site to Site VPN-tunnels to your office, another datacenter or a customer.

Do I get a kickback on the sales?

No, you sell the service at the price you set and buy them at a fixed price from Cloudmore. The more you can charge your customer the more margin you make. Cloudmore does not even know what price you charge to your customer.

How do I manage my customers?

With the Cloudmore Control Panel you have a full overview of all your services and customers. You manage all your accounts yourself, or you can even let the customer manage his accounts if you deem him competent enough.

Does the Reseller own the customers?

Yes of course. Your customers are your company’s core assets. Cloudmore is not allowed to contact the customers and in most cases the customer does not even know Cloudmore exists.

Can I brand the services with my company name?

Yes, you are free to provide the services in your own name. Actually, you cannot sell the services under the Cloudmore brand even though you can say that you purchase the service from us if you think that brings extra credibility to your service offering.

How long time are we committing us for?

There are no minimum contract period, no minimum purchase value, there is no catch. You are free to sell every service in our portfolio or you can remain idle for as long as you like or until a business case pops up.

Can we run our own services in competition with Cloudmore?

Yes. We compete with quality of service, strong brand name and aggressive pricing. If you want to sell our Hosted Exchange but still want to produce your own PC backup you are of course free to do so. But please take a moment and go over your cost associated with your own service production. We have many, very many, Partners that have discontinued their own service production and migrated their customers to Cloudmore, simply because they make more money that way.

Will Cloudmore handle customer support?

No. Cloudmore supports you as a Cloudmore Partner. You support your customers. If you cannot resolve a customer issue you turn to us and we will support you. Your customers are your property; Cloudmore is not allowed to talk to them.

Are aliases charged on billing?

No, in the MXSweep portal the administrator can put a user's primary e-mail address and secondary e-mail addresses or aliases. Aliases are not charged on billing, only Mailbox Primary Addresses.

Is it possible to transfer an exchange account from one user to another?

Yes, it is possible. A common scenario is when a user, that f ex has 1 year subscription, leaves the company and you would like to use remaining time of the subscription for another user. What you have to do is remove the account that will no longer be in use. Thus you have one vacant seat from your subscription. Create the new mail account, i.e. a new user, and assign the vacant subscription seat to this user. For assistance with that, contact Cloudmore Support.
