- Installation and set up
The user will download a setup file from our fileservers. After the installation the user can choose which files to backup and how frequently. The user can also add rules to exclude specific extensions such as for example media files.
- Backup
Backup is performed automatically daily in the background and the user can continue to work on the computer without any interruptions. When the backup is finalized information will be displayed with the status and amount of data that was backed up.
- Compressed data
All data is compressed before being transmitted to minimize the data needed to transmit. Before being transmitted the data is also encrypted. The data is kept encrypted until it eventually is restored – this means that the data always is encrypted when in transit or storage.
- Delta Block technology
With Delta Block technology only the changes at the block level is transmitted to the data center. Specifically this means that when a document changes, only the changes in the file are backed up, not the entire file.
- SendOnce technology
Before the client sends over a file it checks if the file is in the SendOnce pool in the data centers. If the file is in the SendOnce pool the application will not send the file to the datacenters, instead the datacenters will move the file to the user account on the server.
- Secure data storage
All communication between the client and the data centers is performed over a secured connection with government level, 128-bit, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). All data is kept encrypted both during transmission and in storage.
- Data restore
It is easy to restore a single file or multiple files by choosing 'retrieve' from the client application. Specify from which date you want to restore a file and then just click retrieve.
- Heal technology
With the Heal technology the user can easily restore the computer to a previously working state for your system and application without losing user data files. The user can also restore an entire system with this technology. The Heal technology requires a full backup.
