So the answer lies in what should be done when the worst happens – how to ensure that people can continue to send and receive e-mails in the event of server failure.
This is the starting point of our MXSweep e-mail recovery and continuity service. We accept that occasional server failure is a given. But now no one needs to experience again the nightmare of lost orders, untraceable instructions, missing reports and complex, time-consuming and expensive recovery.
We've taken a uniquely straightforward approach to ensuring that users can always access, compose and send email, no matter what happens at server level. It's straightforward for every user, whose workflows are barely disrupted by server failure.
How does it work?
There are three key aspects of the service.
First, all email that is sent or received within the organisation is automatically encrypted and stored for up to twenty one days in a secure archive, which users can access instantaneously through the secure MXSweep portal. Once they have retrieved it, they can then work with their emails as usual.
Second, individual users can use our 'instant replay' feature to restore any inadvertently deleted e-mails immediately, without any involvement of the IT department.
And third, even a back-up failure is no reason for concern – the administrator can simply re-deliver all e-mails received or sent, including attachments, right up to the point of failure.
