Licence management in connection with buying software as a service
One, out of many, benefits of buying software or IT as a service, is that the licence management for the customer is eliminated as the licence cost and administration is managed by the provider of the service. The service includes operation, maintenance, and licence management.
When you buy software as a service, it is always the provider of the service who is responsible for licence management (reporting and payment of licence fees to the software provider). In the event of an audit or the like, it shall therefore be sufficient to present an invoice detailing the software purchased as a service.
