Hosted FTP site

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is one of the most commonly used file sharing protocols for the Internet. FTP is a commando based protocol that transfers text- and binary data files.

How FTP works

You will need an FTP server and an FTP client in order to transfer a file via FTP. The client is a program on your local computer, and the server is a computer – online all the time – with server program software.

What we provide

We provide an FTP server that you can upload and download files through. The server is always available and has a direct connection to the Internet. Use a standalone FTP client software, or the built in functions in Windows.

Benefits of using FTP

Who has not had problems sending large amounts of data via e-mail? These problems are eliminated by using an FTP service. You can easily upload files and documents to your FTP server, and other users can – if supplied access by you – download the same files and documents.

Connecting to an FTP site

Use a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or the like; and state your login details. If you are using an FTP client software – type in the address to the server and you are then asked to type in username and password.

It is also possible to use the built in functions in Windows to map your FTP directly in your file explorer for quick and easy access.
